Alan is Ready for Online Learning!

Ata marie tamariki ma! I had such a great week at school last week. I got to go to swimming twice - with Room 10 and and Room 5 so that was lovely. Some people wanted me to get into the pool but I'm actually not allowed in the school pool (my hair might clog up the filter) and I'm very cautious when I'm around water. I'm a skilled swimmer but I do like to be able to walk into the water rather than jump.

I was extremely impressed with how all the students I watched were worked so hard to improve their swimming skills and making such amazing progress. Ka pai everyone and thank you to the talented instructors from Swimming NZ.

Over the weekend everything changed again and it's back to online learning again this week. I'd rather actually be at school of course but there are still lots of ways it's going to be a good week. I've got my chrome book all ready to go and you'll be able to see a blog from me everyday to see what I'm up to.

I'd love to hear what you are up to so you can comment on my blog telling me how your online learning is going and what else you've been up to.

- Alan 🐾

  2. I thought the swimming school instructors were really good too, Alan. They gave me lots of great ideas to use when I take various classes swimming.
I hope you're looking after Mrs Cox- letting her put her feet up and running around her vacuuming up any delicious looking crumbs! Mrs Logan

    1. Hello Mrs Logan! Be reassured I'm looking after Mrs Cox and vacuuming as fast as I can when I'm not writing my blog. She says it would be good if I could learn to make her a cup of tea but I've arranged for Mr Cox to do that!

    1. Hi there! I learned to use a chrome book during the big lockdown last year so I could keep in contact with my friends at Glen Taylor School. I'm so glad I did. It's so much fun and my computer skills are really improving.

    1. Hi Jane how lovely to hear from you.I really miss my friends at GTS during lockdown and look forward to seeing everyone again as soon as possible. I don't love lockdown but there are some positive things about it for me - my computer skills are getting better and better and I get extra walks! I guess it's just something we have to do.Keep safe Jane and I'm sure we will see each other soon.

  8. Kia ora Kelepi it's so nice to hear what you've been up to. What were you reading? I love reading especially when the children read to me in the classroom at GTS. They are so good at it! If you want to listen to Mrs Cox reading me stories look back at my blog posts from March and April 2020 - they are still there for you to enjoy!
