Kia ora tamariki ma, did you enjoy the olympics? I watched quite a lot of it from the comfort of my dog bed and I really enjoyed it! My favourite events were the athletics - because I love running; you might have seen me running at school - especially that time I escaped and was running free on the field. I did notice that at the olympics they didn't have any events that involved running and then eating - that's something I think would be a great addition! I'm pretty sure I would get the gold medal for that event. They could also have olympic rolling on the floor and snoozing and I'd probably win that as well!
If you could invent a new olympic event what would it be? I'd love to hear about it! And do write and tell me what your favourite events are and why you like them. I'd love to hear from you!
Anyway I'm off to start my training for Paris 2024....by eating a few snacks and having a quick (three hour) sleep.
Congratulations to all our wonderful olympic team. Whether you got a medal or not, you are our champions!

Kia ora Alan,I think your blog is tremendous. I know you would that you would win a snoozing on the floor medal. You would be first place. By the way If I had the chance to invent a new Olympic event it would be science. Two contestants would be given a piece of paper. Then they would have to figure out how to make that specific thing. The first to make it first would win.

I didn't watch the Olympics but I watched the opening cermony. If I could invent a new Olypic it would be drawing and painting. I didn't watch it so I dont know.

Hi Alan, I don't really watch the Olympics but it sounds cool, I saw some clips with my sister who watches it and I like the one where they jump over the bar. I can't really think of a sport but If I did then I think it would be something with jumping! If you did a sport for the Olympics what would you do?

Hi Joshua, sorry I took a while to reply! It would be great to see NZ in the top ten but I think we have done amazingly well anyway. My favourite sport is probably athletics because I love running around.I'm pretty sure I could win the 100m sprint!
